Microsoft .Net Framework The Microsoft .Net Framework is a toolbox that is used by software developers. This toolbox is very common and it is probably already installed on your computer so we don't include it in our setup programs to keep the download size small. If you don't already have the toolbox installed, you will need to install it.

How can I tell if the .Net Framework is installed?

The easiest way to tell if the frame work is installed is to locate the %systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework folder on your computer. You can copy and paste the listed address into a Windows Explorer (or Internet Explorer) address bar. If the Framework folder contains a folder named v1.1.4322, you have the correct version of the .Net Framework installed.

You can also open Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and look for "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1"
